Our Mission

The multi-denominational United Church exists to glorify and serve God, to call people into relationship with God as a community of believers, to witness for Christ, and to work for the betterment of all people through Jesus Christ our Lord.  The United Church congregation shall strive to give full expression to the rich diversity within its membership, and shall provide means which will assure greater inclusiveness within its emerging life.  Thus, the fellowship of Christians that gather to worship and order its corporate life will display a variety of form, practice, language, program, nurture and service.

Open and Affirming Statement:
The multi-denominational United Church exist to glorify and serve God, to call people into relationship with God as a community of believers, to witness for Christ, and to work for the betterment of all people through Jesus Christ our Lord. As its people, we declare ourselves to be an Open and Affirming congregation. Therefore, we welcome into our community persons of every gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, mental and physical ability, age, race, nationality, economic and social status, faith background, marital standing and family structure. We invite them to share in the life, leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, blessings and joys of our congregation. We welcome people as they are, where they are in life, because in our experience this is how God welcomes us.
